Background

In 2014, the Cub Scout Pack 163 of Milpitas, California was chartered by the Rotary Club of Milpitas. We were issued a charter by the Boy Scouts of America. We are affiliated with the Coyote Creek District of the Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council. We work closely with our Boy Scouts Troop 163 to serve the students of John Sinnott Elementary School, Alexander Rose Elementary School and Marshall Pomeroy Elementary School and the surrounding communities. Students from any school are welcome. In fact, we currently have students from Sinnott, Rose, Majestic Way, Orchard, Brooktree, Challenger Berryessa and Milpitas Christian School.

Our Approach

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. The pack contribute to the character development, citizenship training, mental and physical fitness of our young leaders. The cub scout motto is "Do your best."

In addition, Pack 163 is family oriented and family led. We believe we can build a stronger pack by being inclusive and utilizing the diverse talents, knowledge, resources and culture of our scouting families and, therefore, offering the best scouting program possible.

Scout Oath

On my honor, I will do my best.
To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake and morally straight.

Scout Law

A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent.
